VII Firs Grove :

George

George has followed a pagan path for most of his adult life. He had practiced his beliefs alone since the 70s and only started working with the local Pagan community in the 90s. George was raised with many of the family traditions that his parents had followed. With this as his basis, he has developed his beliefs and has continued to grow on a personal level.

George is with OWOW because they are a caring group who have a goal and provide a valued service to the community through the festivals they work to sponsor. He also believes that the goal to purchase land to be held in trust for the Pagan community is one of the things that will help us all grow in the future.

Katerra

I have been following a Wiccan path for well over 20 years.  When I was in high school I searched for a spiritual path that felt like truth and could not find it in Xian practices.  I was exposed to New Age/Metaphysical systems of belief while still in high school; this opened me up to new ways of thinking about the seen and unseen.  Shortly after coming out of the closet in 1989, I found a womyn’s book store and there is where I came into contact with real literature about womyn’s spirituality and Wicca.  I know I found my truth and have followed a Wiccan path ever since.

In May of 2004 I was gifted with being chosen May Queen at Spiritual Anarchist Beltane.  That was a life altering experience and has directed me to become more involved in the greater pagan community.  At first I joined the Northwest Pagan Land Project because I liked the idea of a group wanting to work with other groups to raise funds for Pagan Land.  Due to lack of involvement by anyone except me and a couple of others NWPLP is basically defunct at this time.  I also became involved with MWW (Magickal Winter Weekend) a pagan indoor convention held in the winter.  I have finished my 3 year commitment with that group.  I moved into George’s house in 2006 and started to attend OWOW meetings with him.  I joined his house and we changed the name to VII Firs Grove.  I’m excited to be working with such a dynamic group of motivated people who are willing to put real work into fund raising for Pagan Land.

In my secular life I have a Bachelors of Science concentration in Sculpture from PSU and I’m currently working towards a Sustainable MBA at Bainbridge Graduate Institute. I believe that we have to be the change we want to see in the world.  I’m also working on getting my Uncle’s invention up and running.  He created a device that produces infinite environmentally sustainable energy named the Taysun Generator.  Unfortunately he was killed in a freak accident late last year (2007) and now it is up to me to see the Taysun Generator come to fruition.
